Shaker Aamer - 10 years in Guantanamo

US Embassy, Grosvenor Square, London. Tues 14 Feb 2012

 'Free All Political Prisoners

Kate Hudson from CND came to the event with her dog.

A police officer checks on the protesters intentions - and was a little confused about their authorisation for the protest

Not all of the protesters were dressed in orange jumpsuits for the protest

Police look very large and rather contused

Joy Hurcombe holds the Valentine card for President Obama. I hope he got it, and the message. Time to come good on his promises

And long past time Shaker Aamer was back with his family. He arrived in Guantanamo 10 years ago on Valentine's Day 2002, after having been
held and tortured for some months in Afghanistan by the US - with British agents watching some of the time.

If he is released alive and fit to give evidence of that happened to him and others

it will embarrass both the US and UK governments.
