Stand Off at Venezuela Embassy

South Kensington, London. Sat 20 Apr 2013

As the supporters were keen to remine them, 'this is democracry Maduro won'

The posters say 'Venezuela The only country where a President is Inaugurated before the votes are counted'

But that isn't true. The votes were counted and Maduro won. The opposition demanded a recount, and the electoral
commission recounted a large sample - and he still won. The opposition still weren't satisfied and demanded they
recount every vote - and they have agreed to do so. It's virtually certain that Maduro will still win - and just as certain
that the supporters of Capriles will not accept that he lost.

Supporters of the failed candidate hold up a long flag to separate them from the supporters of President Maduro

It should say: 'the only country that goes to the bother of recounting the votes
when it has already been shown clearly that one candidate has been elected'
