Silvertown

Silvertown and the DLR, London. Sat 7 Sep 2013

From the protest at Excel I walked across through the dock site to catch the DLR from Pontoon Dock, as

the Beckton branch was replace by a bus service - and getting to the protest hadn't been entirely smooth

There was something special about this Lynx helicopter on sale early at the arms fair but I've forgotten what!

I had a talk about the arms fair with another photographer I met on the bridge who told me about it

 but I didn't take notes!

The frigate HMS Sunderland takes up a lot of the ExCel dockside, but later there were several other ships as well

It was a good day for clouds

I walked down to North Woolwich Rd

and photographed the Silvertown memorial again - at the entrance to Minoco Wharf

Barrier Point across the empty wharf site

On the north side of the road is London Pleasure Gardens - which went bust 5 weeks after opening
