Druids Celebrate Autumn Equinox

Primrose Hill, London. Sun 22 Sep 2013

The Druid Order processes up to the top of Primrose Hill, led by a sword bearer

At the top they start to form a circle

The skyline of London behind the process with Ceridwen, the two banners and the Chief Druid

The horn is pulled out to full length

and sounded to the four points of the compass

The sword is brought to the Chief Druid

who pulls it slightly out of the sheath before asking the question 'Is it Peace' to each of the four corners

The lady, representing the Earth Goddess Ceridwen asks permission to enter the circle

and comes with her two attendants to the Chief Druid

She offers a horn containing cider to the Chief Druid
