Detention Centres Shut Them Down

Harmondsworth, London. Sat 7 May 2016

Protesters make a lot of noice so everyone isded can hear them even if on a few can see what is happening

But eventually police and secuirty manage to push them out to the front of the site away from the blocks in which
most prisoners are held.

The protesters keep making a lot of noise

and a woman drums on the red secuirty gate

 Others hold the banners.

The protest continues and the protesters are able to contact some prisoners and hear their voices over mobile phones

The protesters decide to go down the public footpath beside the COlnbrook prison to get closer to the prisoners held there

The footpath leads to a field, Colnbrook prison is almost hidden by the bushes and small trees along the side of the path

But the prisoners can be heard, shouting out in response to the protest

And messages from the protesters over the megaphone reach the prisoners

The sounds of pans being banged carry well

The protesters are able to call out a phone number the prisoners can call, and are able to hear their stories
