St Andrew's Dock

Hull. Mon 20 Feb 2017

Subway St used to run through here to the Fish Dock - now there is just a footpath

To the South of Clive Sullivan Way the road remains

The footpath leads on to the derelict St Andrews Dock

The Transpennine Way footpath goes alongside the Humber

and between the still occupied dock and the Humber

St Andrew's Dock - derelict buildings and the 'Bullnose' at left

Traveller's caravans on the dock, and the dock entrance bythe Bullnose

Flood prevention work addded a wall here in 1999

The path used to cross the dock gates - but there is now a fence on the other side

The derelict Lord Line building and reeds growing in the silted up St Andrew's Dock

A small memorial to Lost Trawlermen on the Bullnose

The memorial, with plaques on the wall. Several people had come to sit and stand in the area by the memorial
