Picturehouse recognition & living wage

Leicester Square, London. 25 Feb 2017

CInema workers from four Picutrehouse cinemas around London had come to Leicester Square and were protesting

for the London Living Wage and for their union, BECTU, to be recognised by the management

One had brought a dog, also wearing one of the t-shirts supporting the strikers

Picturehouse makes high profits - but pays staff a pittance

The workers call for a boycott until they get the London Living Wage and union recognition

I left as the speeches started as I wanted to cover a protest in Brixton, though I knew there were some well known figures

coming to support the cinema workers.
