Cleaners protest luxury car dealers HR Owen

South Kensington, London. Sat 30 Sep 2017


 

 The UVW and supporters gathered in front of South Kensington Station

 A new banner 'Striking for Justice'

 Class War had brought their Luch Parsons banner 'We must devastate the avenues where the wealthy live' amd

 South Kensington is very much a place where the wealthy live

 The march begins - but then waits at the traffic lights

 while Class War dash across to protest at another HR Owens luxury car showroom - Lamborghini London

 

 

 The protesters carry on down the road with one of the Ferrari 2, Angelica in the middle behind the banner

 

 and they go to the gates leading into the yard behind the Lamborghini showroom where HR Owen have their office

 and protest there very noisily

 

 Cleaners desever Dignity and Respect and a living wage

 Victor seizes the cahnce to speak

 

 Freddy, the other sacked cleaner speaks in Spanish - and Claudia waits to translate

 Vera hold a poster

 and Petros Elia, the UVW General Secretary another

 Angelica speaks

 

 

 and the protesters continue down the Old Brompton Road

 The cleaners get only the national minimum wage - around £2 per hour less than the London Living Wage, while

 the Ferrari CEO gets an astronomical rate
