Three Mills Loop Walk

Bromley by Bow, Stratford etc, London. Sunday 18 Jan. 2009




   Three Mills has been restored since 1989, with some work still remaining to be done. This mill closed in 1952

 
  The House Mill, built in 1776 stopped working in 1940. The water flow gives an indication of the considerable power available
 
  Stratford High St
 
  A lone pylon - the power lines that went across the Olympic area have been expensively put in a tunnel and the pylons taken down
 
  Building works are taking place close to the Waterworks river just outside the Olympic site
 
Existing facilities on Stratford Marsh were expanded to provide material for the Olympic site 
     
The main stadium takes shape
